Providing New Beginnings Through Housing
United Ministries offers housing and support services to men experiencing homelessness
by providing transitional and permanent supportive housing.
Earl's Place, our first program, opened December 13, 1997.
Named in honor of Earl Johnson, a humble, homeless man who started a movement.
He didn't set out to do so; he came to a local soup kitchen to get a meal. But for the persons serving him and others, he put a face on "homeless" and raised awareness of the need for food and shelter. He did not live to see the results of his inspiration, but thanks to the dedication of those initial volunteers and so many others, Earl's Place continues to assist men like him.
by providing transitional and permanent supportive housing.
